Medical Associations Unite Behind Rep. Schwertner for Texas Senate

Georgetown, TX—Republican State Representative Charles Schwertner added several prominent healthcare groups to his growing list of supporters for his campaign for State Senate, District 5. Rep. Schwertner, a conservative legislator and local practicing orthopedic surgeon, is running for the open seat left by retiring Sen. Steve Ogden.

Dr. Schwertner, his wife Belinda (a local OB/GYN) and their three sons are residents of Georgetown and active members of St. Helen’s Catholic Church. He is a local orthopedic surgeon and small business owner with medical practices in both Georgetown and Cedar Park employing over 50 individuals and providing annual care to over 20,000 local patients.
