Georgetown, TX—Today Dr. Charles Schwertner, Republican candidate for State House District 20, received the endorsement of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
A strong advocate for the agricultural and ranching industry, Dr. Schwertner has also received the support of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and the Texas Cotton Ginners Association, as well as endorsements from agribusinessman Jim Schwertner and American Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame member Charles Graham, DVM.
“I am proud to have the support of the agricultural and ranching community,” Dr. Schwertner said. “Having grown up working on my family’s farms and ranches and with over 6 generations of agricultural as well as 6 generations of ancestral roots in the district, I have the experience needed to be a strong advocate for this industry and the rural portions of District 20.”
Dr. Schwertner’s solid conservative platform focuses on lowering taxes, protecting the rights of property owners, fighting for illegal immigration reform and opposing Obama‐ Care. He has also attracted the support and positive ratings of many well‐respected organizations such as:

Dr. Schwertner, his wife Belinda and their three sons are residents of Georgetown and active members of St. Helen’s Catholic Church. He is a practicing physician in both Georgetown and Cedar Park and a small business owner with over 40 employees providing annual care to over 20,000 local patients.
Dr. Schwertner is also a member of the Williamson County Republican Party, Texas Right to Life, the National Rifle Association and the Texas State Rifle Association. His in‐laws live in Sun City and his father‐in‐law is a retired Army sergeant major.
