FORT WORTH, TEXAS– The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Political Action Committee (TSCRA PAC) today supported Dr. Charles Schwertner for election to the Texas Senate, District 5. Schwertner currently serves as the Texas state representative for House District 20.

“Dr. Schwertner has been a strong supporter of the Texas cattle industry,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher, president of TSCRA and co-chairmanof the TSCRA PAC.

“He believes in free enterprise and protecting private property rights, two things that are critical to the success of the cattle industry,” Parker said. “Dr. Schwertner supported protecting Texaslandowners’ownership ofthe groundwater below their landand helped to secure stronger eminent domain laws to better protectTexaslandowners.”
